Hours after all 21 Congress MLAs resigned from their cabinet posts in HD Kumaraswamy-led coalition government, JDS MLAs have also tendered their resignations, the chief minister's office said. The resignation, according to the CMO statement, makes way for Cabinet restructuring.

"All JD(S) minsters have resigned, like the 21 Congress ministers who had resigned, Cabinet will be restructured soon," the statement said. JD (S) had 11 ministers in the cabinet, excluding the chief minister.
Meanwhile there
is no end in sight to the Karnataka crisis as 21 Congress ministers and nine JDS ministers resigned from the Cabinet to placate the 14 rebel MLAs who withdrew their support to the Congress-JD(S) coalition on Monday. Two independent MLAs Nagesh and R Shankar stepped down earlier in the day while 13 MLAs had submitted their resignations to the Speaker on Saturday. Congress MLA from Bidar North, Rahim Mahmood Khan, on the other hand, threatened to resign from the Assembly.
